Introducing Lunch2Learn
A simple way to help feed El Hogar’s young growing minds.
Food insecurity is a challenging reality for many children and youth in Honduras today, compromising their physical health, mental functioning, and their ability to learn and grow.
One of the most tangible ways El Hogar helps its more than 200 students transform their own lives is by providing nutritious lunches for its day students, and three healthy meals a day for its residential students. With nutritious meals, El Hogar students do better in school and in their daily activities, and experience better overall health.
To raise general operating funds that help pay for student meals, El Hogar Projects (Canada) has launched a monthly donations program called Lunch2Learn.
For example:
$15 per month = 1 week’s lunches for 1 student
$30 per month = 2 week’s lunches for 1 student
$60 per month = 1 month’s lunches for 1 student
The easiest way to join Lunch2Learn is through CanadaHelps. You can set up monthly payments by credit card, PayPal or Google Pay, and instantly obtain tax receipts. Simply select the ‘Donate Monthly’ tab, choose Lunch2Learn from the dropdown menu, and enter your donation amount.
